Trash
While these are officially allowed in blue bins, we recommend you put them in the trash as they will not be recycled and are therefore just a burden to the recycling system.
They will take what we call "the long route to the incinerator".
These types of hard clear plastic cases are made of a plastic #6 (Polystyrene) which is very difficult and expensive to recycle. It is therefore not recycled in practice.

Note that our recommendation for this item goes against official recommendations which welcomes these CD casings in blue bins. We believe these instructions are in error or out of date as there is no way for such casings to get recycled.
