Saint Vincent de Paul Charity Shops
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP), founded in 1883, is an independent lay Catholic organisation made up mostly of volunteers (Vincentians) dedicated to serving the poor and those in need.
As charity thrift shops, the items on sale are mainly from collection drives done by Vincentians at various Catholic churches. Members of the public may also donate directly to the shops.
Net proceeds go towards funding SSVP's programmes for over 3,000 low-income and disadvantaged beneficiaries from all races, religions and nationalities.
