The metal part of the umbrella aka frame can be recycled.
Remove the handle (if non-metal) and canvas. Do not put the whole umbrella in the recycle bin or it will end up incinerated. Strictly speaking, umbrellas are not welcome in blue bins but harvested metal is OK.
