Why aren't air pockets recycled?
Air pockets are made from various materials like technically recyclable LDPE and HDPE, as well as non-recyclable materials such as PLA and multilayer PE/PA.
Unfortunately, distinguishing one plastic from another is difficult if not impossible at the sorting plant.
Mixed plastic waste often costs more to sort than its value, making recycling these materials impractical.
