Q: Can I recycle paper with correction fluid?

Yes you can! Wite-Out aka Correction Fluid or Correction tape isn’t considered a problem, mostly because it’s used in such trivial amounts. It will likely flake off in the pulper, and the resulting chips will get screened out.

Other minor contaminants that are OK include:

  • tape
  • staples
  • small amounts of wax (emphasis on small… for full crayon drawings, see here)

If a contaminant makes the paper difficult to pulp (say because there is a lot of tape, glue, laminate, or other water repellant material) then the paper won't get recycled.

But if the contaminant can be separated easy from pulped or shredded paper (like stable, spiral binding, ink, etc) then it is not an obstacle to recycling.
