These are not recyclable
Although the packaging may say the capsules are recyclable, they are not recycled in Singapore.
Because of the small size of the pods, they are filtered out of the recycling system at the sorting facility (MRF). These pods are virtually impossible to bale - the process of compressing them into large bundles for sale to recycling companies. If they can't be baled, they can't be recycled, regardless of what they are made of.

Info & Insights
Unlike Nespresso aluminum capsules, there are no recycling programmes in Singapore for plastic coffee capsules.
These capsules can be made of various plastics some of which are technically recyclable and others not.
These are not recyclable for a number of reasons:
- due to their small size, they are filtered out at the material recovery facility ("MRF")
- they often contain food waste (ie coffee) therefor do not belong in a recycling bin at all
- the plastic they are made may not be recylable and even if it is, it is virtually never economically feasible to do so
